This course provides an overview of the procedures involved with accepting a Gift in Kind at UW-Madison, also referred to as a non-monetary donation. This training will walk through the steps involved with accepting and processing a Gift in Kind, as well as how to complete a Gift in Kind Routing Form and what documentation is required. This training covers accepting in kind gifts that are considered capital equipment, and what to do if a donor requests a gift agreement. Participants will also learn where to find additional resources and support.

This course is intended for anyone on the UW-Madison campus who may wish to accept a donation of a non-monetary item, and for any departmental or financial staff who assist with processing and completing documentation related to gifts for UW-Madison.
