This online learning is designed to help UW-Madison employees (faculty, staff, graduate-student employees, and post-docs) identify characteristics of hostile and intimidating behavior when it happens, understand how to create conditions that prevent it, know the campus policies and processes in place to address it, and become familiar with campus resources that can help.
In this online learning, participants will work through a number of scenarios to help identify what hostile and intimidating behavior is (and isn’t), and engage in individual reflection exercises to understand the shared responsibility we all have when we hear about or experience incidents of concerning workplace behavior.
The learning module - approximately 2 hours in length - can be taken on-demand and at a desired pace and offers a combination of content, interactive exercises, individual reflection, and supplemental resources. Completion of this online training is the equivalent of attending the in-person workshop.
