Thrive@UW-Madison: Communicating Effectively for Authentic Collaboration  (back)
 
Description:
Communication is central to inclusive work environments, positive relationships, and effective collaboration. In this course, participants will develop communication skills that encourage the development of positive, collaborative work relationships and learn how to use these skills in order to actively contribute to a healthy, inclusive, and engaging workplace.

After completing this session, participants will:

- Be able to use active listening skills to investigate needs and overcome assumptions

- Be able to model inclusive communication by transforming closed questions into inquiry-focused questions.

- Be able to create dialogue with a communication partner in order to respond respectfully in challenging conversations.
